Heart attacks cause damage to your heart. The larger the artery occluded, the larger the infarct size and the bigger the damage to the heart muscle. There has been great progress made in treating heart disease in the last 25 years. Prevention however is still a king. Not only it saves you a heart attack, but it can save your life and your wallet.
Heart attack is not only an occluded small vessel in the heart muscle, it is also an end result of atherosclerosis. Preventing the later is no less critical to one's health, well being and longevity.
